Who and What is Ministry 828

Origin and Emblem of Ministry 828

Name

The name Ministry 828 originates from Romans 8:28.
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Origin

Ministry 828 was founded by the Hervormde Kerk Meyerspark, which is part of the Geloofsbond of Reformed Churches (GHG). Initial discussions were initiated by Paul Mc Menamin with Rev. Frans Oosthuizen and the Church Council of the congregation. The idea was to establish a non-profit organisation that would support and expand the Word ministry within the GHG. In addition to serving the GHG, the organisation also aims to support mercy ministries and assist other Christian institutions in their ministry and care for people.

Emblem

The capital letter “B” represents the Bible and its ministry.
The red flame motif on the “B” symbolises the Holy Spirit.
In Acts 2, we read about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit:
They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.

The red embrace around the “B” symbolises the protection of the Bible and its ministry under the Holy Spirit.

With this emblem, Ministry 828 confesses: SOLA GRATIA (Grace Alone).
